I was born and raised in Cheltenham Township and attended Ithaca College where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. I did graduate study in music and education at Syracuse University and The State University of New York and received a Master of Science degree in Education. For several years I taught music in the public schools. In 1999 I acquired my real estate license and later completed 240 hours of instruction for my Associate Broker’s License. In the past 20 years, in addition to listing and selling real estate, I have instructed, trained, and mentored real estate agents, and have taught the real estate pre-licensing courses to thousands of individuals who wished to pursue a career in real estate. My background in education has helped me to be a good communicator, which is critical, as so much of what we do in real estate requires effective communication. In fact, lack of communication is cited as the #1 complaint of buyers and sellers per the National Association of Realtors. Real estate transactions and contracts can be highly complex and I take great joy in being able to explain details and simplify the process for the buyers and sellers whom I represent and to offer counsel that helps them to set realistic expectations for the process. Effective communication is also critical in my relationships with the Realtors with whom I cooperate in transactions. My communication skills also empower me to be a strong negotiator. I am a creative person, as well, and enjoy photography in addition to music. I enjoy photographing my listings, whenever possible, and writing creative descriptions for online and print advertising that stimulate interest in the property and help drive traffic through the door. My knowledge of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, my grasp of the real estate contracts, attention to detail, professionalism, and uncompromising ethical standards enable me to provide the best possible level of service to my clients.
